I m currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join a large blue chip family run business who specialise within traction only loads in the UK.
They are seeking a Transport Coordinator to support the current transport operation in the delivery and exaction of the daily transport plan.

The Candidate;
CPC Management - Desirable
Excellent knowledge of driver time regulations
Proven experience of managing / coordinating in excess pf 25 drivers per shift
Previous experience within a operational and transport coordinator role
A good understanding of fleet compliance across Rigids and Artics
Experience using Transport Management System
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Competent decision making
Duties and Responsibilities;
Supervising and managing driver workloads
Ensure drivers have the correct paperwork and equipment to carry out their role
Liaise with drivers and manage WTD / DTD
Conducting driver briefs & de-briefs
Supervising, coordinating and managing driver workloads
Ensure drivers have the correct paperwork and equipment to carry out their role
Coordination of breakdown, recovery
Ensure all aspects of H&S are adhered to
All drivers tachograph infringements to be explained and signed off
All defects are dealt with correctly
Investigate any vehicle damage and take any action required
Ensure all vehicles are in a clean and tidy condition through regular audits
