One of the worlds leading residential developers are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their London office. The family run group offer Development Management, Construction, Architecture, Interior Design, Private Client services and much more. This level of service gives them the contacts and experience to design and build some of the most luxury private properties in Prime Central London.
As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will join an award winning team, who put quality at the forefront of all that they do. Working with their in-house design and architecture teams gives them the unique opportunity to build bespoke one off properties. The Managing Quantity Surveyor should have experience with new build, refurbishment and listed buildings too. Experience of working with Ultra High Network Clients would be a benefit as they attention to detail at every step is important to ensure that projects are delivered on time and budget.
Senior Quantity Surveyor responsibilities:
Undertaking full P&L responsibility within the given workstream, requiring the need to monitor and control financial performance
Undertaking contract administration and task scheduling to ensure projects are delivered on time, cost and quality
Supporting the senior director in the annual budgeting process for the sector and providing financial forecasts on a monthly basis
Working in a collaborative way with other directors to share best practice, service delivery, knowledge and resources
Developing and improving the relationships across the region and the wider group to ensure the mutually beneficial crossflow of business, adherence to standards and sharing of knowledge/best practice to facilitate a seamless service to clients
Managing internal control and procedural processes, recommending improvements and corrective action where appropriate
Ensuring regular audits and peer reviews are undertaken
Assisting the senior director with defining KPIs for senior staff in the sector to provide clarity on performance expectations and objectives
Acting as mentor/coach to selected staff
Seeking new project opportunities, prospecting & fostering Client relations
Proficiency in IT and all industry software
Managing costs for prime London refurbishments.
Preparation of all project related financial report and forecasts
Direct liaison with employers and employers representatives
Direct interface with the project team
Conducting feasibility studies and preparation of cost plans relating to contractual work for clients information.
Advising on relevant procurement strategies and preparation of tender packs.
Preparation of contract documents including Bill of Quantities.
Preparation and analysis of costs from tenders.
Interviewing contractors, allocating orders, confirming contract terms and warranties.
Monitoring variations to contracts ensuring agreement from relevant parties.
Valuing completed works and issuing monthly valuations.
Agreement of Sub-Contractor Payment Certificates.
Maintaining knowledge of current building contracts in use
