Senior Front End Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled full-time Senior Front-End Developer/Small Team Lead to develop future internal and SaaS based data driven browser-based applications and help build, manage, and grow the Front-End development team.
You ll be working alongside the existing applications back-end/server development team and will be key bridge between the two teams and play a key role in building important systems.
Alongside development efforts the role will include working to assist/guide recruitment of additional team members and also implement processes, toolsets and workflows for effective front-end development.
Write efficient code based on feature specifications & bug reports.
Develop web-based user interfaces (from either UX designs/wireframes)
Write automated tests and produce high-quality software.
Implement best-practice toolsets/processes/workflows for the FE team.
Ability to effectively manage other members of the FE team.
Assist/manage FE team recruitment
Help to continuously improve the team by contributing ideas and suggestions.
Work with end users to resolve issues and take feedback.
Systems Skills Requirements
Senior level web design/coding expertise
Proven experience of performing all technical aspects of a front-end build
Highly proficient in leading web frameworks (either Angular or REACT)
Proven experience building responsive websites/applications
Experience building UI components
Highly proficient in use of HTML / CSS and relevant JS packages
Proficient in dealing with data transfer formats like JSON/XML/YAML
Experience working within a source-controlled environment (GIT)
Experience working with management tools to manage/track development jobs (JIRA)
Experience with highly data-centric applications design
Experience integrating with and/or designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Optional Skills Requirements
UI and UX Design experience highly advantageous
Understanding/experience of online security and data protection issues.
Dev-Ops knowledge and experience is a bonus.
Understanding of databases, relational data-structures, data-normalization & SQL
Experience with VMs/Containers/Cloud.
Knowledge of Linux and happy working on the command line.
Soft Skills Requirements
Leader and small development team management experience
The ability to work well with internal and customers facing teams is a requirement.
Communication - both written and verbal - are very important skills in this role.
Strong collaboration skills and knowledge of collaboration tools.
Time management, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills in high pressure situations
