Job Purpose
As the Senior Relationship Manager for Science, you will be part of an exciting new business development project to enhance their current offer. Your main objective is to drive growth through creating business opportunities for new and existing apprenticeships in the science sector.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategic planning: Spearhead a new growth project to establish a presence within strategically chosen science apprenticeships, industries, and specific employer segments.
- Develop Compelling Offers: Create attractive training packages for employers that support their talent growth.
- Expand Business Opportunities: Develop new business opportunities for Laboratory Technician, Science Manufacturing Technician, and Science Manufacturing Process Operative apprenticeship roles.
- Manage Customer Database: Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of customers.
- Cultivate Relationships: Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective accounts.
- Execute Outreach Campaigns: Conduct strategic outreach campaigns through cold calls and emails to expand the client base.
- Support Talent Acquisition: Assist the talent acquisition team in fulfilling vacancies for accounts within your portfolio.
- Attend Networking Events: Represent the company at events, networking opportunities, and webinars to build the brand.
Job Description
As the Senior Relationship Manager for Science, your primary duties will include:
- Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute key strategic objectives to create a focused sales plan for growth within the science and manufacturing sectors.
- Achieve Sales KPIs: Meet set sales key performance indicators.
- Documentation and Compliance: Complete all required sales cycle documentation and ensure compliance with inspections and audits.
- Build Long-Term Partnerships: Develop sustainable partnerships with clients.
- Customer Analysis: Conduct customer analysis to understand their needs and sound buying rationale.
- Promote Work-Based Learning: Consult and communicate the value of work-based learning to clients.
- Provide Information, Advice, and Guidance : Offer suitable IAG to learners and employers through regular meetings, webinars, and written communication.
- Secure New Customers: Lead efforts to meet the organization's growth targets by securing new customers.
- Identify and Close Business Opportunities: Identify and close new business deals.
- Convert Inbound Leads: Convert leads generated by the website, marketing team, and partnerships.
- Prospect for Sales Leads: Generate your own sales leads, targeting key sectors and localities in line with funding streams and sales and marketing priorities.
- Ethical Compliance: Ensure all activities align with government funding rules, and uphold company values, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Continuous Professional Development: Complete CPD to keep skills and knowledge up to date.
Qualifications And/Or Experience Required
Experience
- 2-Years min experience in sales and account management within the science industry.
- Educated to degree level
- Proven history of exceeding performance targets.
