The Client:

A privately owned, family founded chemical distribution and distillery company, going through a period of substantial growth.
The business offer a wide range of products and are proud to be associated with many of the worlds leading petrochemical producers, with strong relationships, spanning many decades.
A wide and varied customer industry base, which includes toiletries and cosmetics, pharmaceutical, contract packing, cleaning, surface coatings, drinks/beverage and chemical manufacturing.

The Role:

To manage and develop sales of Distillery side of the business, to identify new customers, products and sectors for the business to move into in line with core values and growth strategy

Key Accountabilities:

Develop, increase and promote the sales of distillery products Industrial to new and existing customer base
Develop long-term relationships with customers, through managing and interpreting their requirements.
Identify new products and sectors within the industry that can run in parallel with the existing product list
Accountable for proactive growth of business/ geographical area inline with business growth strategy
Ensure business area has an accurate forecast across all products line including new business opportunities
Monitor and analyse market and competitors.
Responsible for ensuring external customer expectations are managed throughout their interaction with the business
Responsible for issuing pricing to all customers whether spot, weekly, monthly or fixed in line with market / company information
Ensure outstanding debts are addressed with finance function and customers ahead of quotations / orders being received
Ensure with coordinators that all business assets, e.g. IBCs are accounted for and returned inline with T&Cs

Key Skills:

Experience of working within the Distillery industry
5 yrs+ Experience in working with complex sales processes, sales growth and strategy building
Inclusive communication style to motivate and deliver clear, effective messages across at all levels (and externally)
Practices attentive, active listening and has the patience to hear people out, even when he/she disagrees, to enable a balanced, objective discussion
Demonstrates organisational awareness to know how to get things done (and unblock holds) and personal commitment to driving the business forward
Quality conscious and Innovative with a positive, strong, motivated, management style
Practical/proactive problem solver and flexible to support a dynamic, customer driven business.
Tenacious, thorough, Determined, energetic and driven with attention to detail
Able to assimilate information quickly
IT literate. Able to collate and present operational data.
Persuasive and goal orientated
