REMOTE - NATIONAL
We are looking for a Sales Manager (internally known as Strategic Lead) to engage and liaise with key clients, delivery partners and sector bodies to lead on new business sales and growth activities on a remote basis nationally.

Summary of Role for Strategic Lead
The role will target new clients and the prime deliverable will be growing revenue across new client accounts; with the aim of generating large-scale multi-year employer partnerships. This will be achieved through building strategic relationships and becoming a 'Trusted Advisor' with a key focus on maximising Apprenticeship, Commercial Training and Adult Skills revenue through a solutions sales approach.
The Strategic Lead will be comfortable in developing relationships and influencing at a senior/executive level; and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to make sure Babington's products and focus are aligned to market needs, and gain maximum exposure across clients.
Principle accountabilities for Strategic Lead - New Business Sales and Growth
Business Development and Client Engagement
To be a senior sales and client engagement lead, targeting new clients within the Financial Services
To be responsible for the achievement of core sales and revenue targets
To focus on driving multi-year contracts, and the establishment of Babington as a partner of choice for skills and talent needs across the sector.
Sales Planning and Customer Intelligence
Diligent CRM usage - and ensuring all sales activity (activity, leads, opportunities, won business) is clear and accountable on the system
Developing and owning key client engagement plans - which clearly defines strategy and objective for sales engagement and growth on a client by client basis - which is updated and submitted to CRD on a (minimum) of quarterly basis.
Building Internal Stakeholder Relationships
Communicating and collaborating with key internal stakeholders to support improvement in performance and customer experience.
Work in partnership with operational colleagues and delivery teams to ensure full awareness of pipeline, and plan future resource needs, and high-quality onboarding and delivery experiences.
Market Presence and Thought Leadership
Keep abreast of policy developments and regulatory compliance requirements within the sector to ensure Babington capitalise opportunities, locally, regionally and nationally.
Influence Babington Marketing and thought leadership within the sector - proactively create and drive things such as website content, blogs, case studies and thought pieces focused on industry trends. Aim to become an 'influencer' in the sector.

Degree in Business Related Subject

Experience of setting the vision and direction for new programmes of work
