The Florist Chester are recruiting a Restaurant Duty Manager!As a Restaurant Duty Manager at NWTC, this is your first step on our Management ladder. You’re already an expert in all things "Restaurant" and you're now ready to lead your incredible team on your journey, winning hearts and minds along the way.You will balance your time between looking after the Restaurant department and ensuring outstanding guest experience within the rest of the unit is at the forefront of everyone's minds. You will champion Restaurant knowledge in all team members and proactively develop the Future Managers within your team through your Restaurant Trainers. You will ensure service is speedy and efficient in all departments to maximise covers at all times and maintain an industry-leading guest journey.Your communication skills are excellent and you will use this to your advantage running shifts with multiple departments and also when engaging with our guests (you really love our guests!) Having an all-round knowledge of every department is vital for your next career step so an open mind is essential when learning from the other department managers.You are completely responsible for everything within the Restaurant department so Rota's, stock control, consumables ordering, sales driving, team training, appraisals will fall to you. Don't forget to develop incredible Restaurant Coaches who can support you and step into your shoes when you're ready for your next role.If the AGM position is what you're aiming at, then make sure you get some experience within the Bar department to ensure you're a complete all-rounder before moving up. ResponsibilitiesEnsure every guest interaction is ultra positive and with the intention of getting them to have a return visitUndertake all Restaurant Coach responsibilities where relevant/neededMonitor and drive Spend Per Head in your departmentEffectively organise and run shifts as a duty managerEnsure that all Restaurant consumables are kept to par and are within budget spend.Take responsibility for all Restaurant stock control including, wastage, ordering, invoicing, stock levels and maintenance in your department.Ensure a two-week rota is available for the Restaurant team at all times, working a month in advance for forecast rota.Regularly hold reviews with each restaurant team member to encourage the development of Future Managers and expertsLiaise with General Manager for any guidance and to communicate any training.Ensure that team par levels are assessed weekly and actively recruit on results. Take a lead on all Restaurant recruitment and ensure an excellent candidate experience throughout the process.Ensure your department has an up to date Talent Pipeline with training needs and succession plansEnsure health checks are conducted once a month with an action plan produced and delegated amongst the team to ensure completion.Ensure all H+S policies are met, including all legislative and licencing requirementsHere's what we can offer:Multi award-winning company.
