Operations & Business Support Manager
Salary: up to £45,000 dependent on experience
We are currently working with a market leading Water treatment company to recruit for a Business minded Operations Manager.
They have been making high quality water treatment chemicals
since the late 1990's specifically designed to assist customers internationally with the most common concerns such as corrosion, scale formation and fouling.
THE ROLE: The Operations Manager will organise and coordinate our client's office administration and procedures, in order to ensure organisational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
The Operations Manager is responsible for intra-company liaison for chemical orders and delivery, streamlining administrative procedures, inventory control, office staff supervision, and task delegation.
The successful Operations Manager will be an energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats.
Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative duties and executive support-related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Well organised, flexible, and enjoys the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.
Point person for maintenance, of mailing, shipping, supplies, and equipment
Maintain oversight of the service schedules
Partner with HR and Finance to maintain office policies as necessary
Coordinate with contractors on all office equipment, printers, fleet and IT etc
Manage relationships and contracts with vendors, service providers and landlord
Responsible for managing office services by ensuring office operations and procedures are organised, correspondences are controlled, filing systems are designed, supply requisitions are reviewed and approved
Responsible for maintaining and improving office policies by reviewing procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office including procedures for protection, retention, record disposal, retrieval, ensuring filing systems are maintained and current
Assign and monitor clerical, administrative, and secretarial responsibilities and tasks among office staff including supporting Directors with travel and appointments
Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory, reviewing and approving office supply acquisitions
Perform reviews and internal compliance audits keeping the management updated
Responsible for recruiting staff for the office and providing orientation and training to new employees
Ensure performance management of office staff by providing them adequate coaching, guidance, mentoring and performance reviews
Remain updated on technical and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional body membership, building networks with fellow professionals, and reviewing of industry publications
Responsible for ensuring financial objectives relating to administrative budgets are met by understanding the annual budget for the office, planning the expenditures, analysing variances, and carrying out necessary corrections that may arise
Participate actively in the planning and execution of company events
Handle customer inquiries and complaints
Maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment
THE BENEFITS: Hours: Full time 37.5 hours p/w, Mon to Fri, 8am - 4pm (open to flexible working), very occasional European travel to partner sites.
