  • Accountable for developing cost-effective commercial and supply chain strategies throughout the project lifecycle—from bid through to delivery and beyond.
  • Responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, all while upholding the highest quality standards.
  • Expected to lead a high-performing commercial team and nurture strong, value-driven partnerships within our supply chain.
  • Will implement and enhance commercial systems and processes aligning with Reds10’s operational and growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Steer the commercial strategy for Reds10, achieving cost, supply chain, and profit targets in line with company-wide growth objectives.
  • Manage project and portfolio risks and opportunities, ensuring comprehensive commercial oversight from tendering to operations.
  • Establish best-value procurement processes and resilient supply chains, supported by standardised contracts focusing on quality, safety, carbon footprint, and social value.
  • Oversee project cost management, including precise forecasting, valuation, change control, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing commercial team, encouraging talent cultivation and a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance and governance, represent the business in negotiations, and maintain adherence to all legal, regulatory, and internal standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive senior-level commercial leadership experience, preferably in off-site, modular, or complex construction settings.
  • Demonstrable success in both pre- and post-contract commercial management for large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record in formulating and executing commercial strategies that deliver significant business results.
  • Expertise in negotiating and managing contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Successful history in building and leading high-performing commercial teams focused on cost management.
  • Strong understanding of procurement laws, health and safety regulations, and compliance standards; chartered status (e.g., RICS, CIOB) preferred.

Key Skills:

  • Strategic, forward-thinking mindset with an emphasis on innovation, resilience, and commercial growth.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and achieve high performance.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and financial literacy, alongside analytical skills for sound decision-making.
  • Advanced negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Adept at driving process improvements and operational efficiencies across departments.
  • Ethical, transparent, and decisive in approach.
  • Resilient and adaptable in high-pressure, fast-paced settings.
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence to represent the company at all levels.
