Interim Procurement Officer - ERP System Implementation

Hybrid working with 2 days per week onsite in London

Duration: Initially for 4 months

Contract: Inside IR35

We are seeking a dynamic Interim Procurement Officer to support our collaborative London-based Local Authority in the procurement process for a new ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive contract management strategy for the ERP programme, ensuring seamless alignment of IT contracts with ERP delivery timelines.
• Facilitate the decommissioning of legacy systems by reviewing contract registers and coordinating with contract owners for compliance verification.
• Draft concise Gateway 2 reports for various procurement lots for evaluation by the Procurement Lead.
• Prepare engaging programme board updates, including focused procurement presentation materials.
• Assist in gathering requirements and creating ITT documentation for upcoming procurement activities (e.g., support and archiving services).
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, finance, and operations to ensure comprehensive input and alignment throughout the procurement process.
• Utilize MS Office and Adobe Workfront to maintain accurate reports, manage risk/issues/actions, and create impactful presentation materials.
• Support the preparation of training materials, including contract management guidance and deliverables mapping.

Essential Experience and Knowledge:

• Qualification in procurement or actively working towards one (e.g., CIPS).
• Demonstrated experience in local authority procurement, with a solid understanding of procurement best practices and regulations.
• Strong project management and problem-solving abilities.
