This is a leading manufacturing business unit of a group of UK-wide companies with a strong brand presence. The site has a headcount of approximately 200 employees.
Your new role
As a vital member of the HR team, reporting to both the HR Manager and the Site Director, and with a dotted reporting line to the HR Director, you will provide a comprehensive range of HR services to support the site. Your responsibilities will encompass HR Advisory services, Employee Relations, Performance Management, and more.
You will take charge of recruitment activities at the site and manage various aspects of the employee lifecycle as well as HR administration tasks. Additionally, you will collaborate with the wider Group HR Team on impactful HR projects that benefit all business units within the group. You will lead on one or two projects annually, with ongoing initiatives including policy and procedure updates, HR process improvements, selecting and implementing a new HRIS system, enhancing group-wide communications, and supporting management development and L&D activities.

Please note:
This is a site-based position initially, with potential for hybrid working in the future.
Working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 7.30am to 4pm and Friday from 7.30am to 12.30pm, aligned with site and production patterns.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experienced HR Professional with ideally a minimum of CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Current knowledge of Employment Law.
- Experience in HR Advisory and Employee Relations.
- Trade Union liaison experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of recruitment practices.
- Experience managing HR projects.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in Excel for HR reporting, data, and analytics.
