We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer - Mechanical/Civils to join our team. You will work within a small team of design engineers providing design services to the Capital Projects delivery function within NGN.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Produce and deliver; Option Studies, Concept Designs and FEED studies and Detailed Designs
Design installation work and produce all necessary calculations for pipe/pipeline sizing, support, trenching, asset protection, routing drawings, PID's, GA's, Hazardous Area Drawings, PSSR Drawings etc
Produce Mechanical and Civil design packs
Check and Approve engineering design work
Produce cost estimates for design scopes and support the preparation of business cases for sanction of the required investment
Produce specifications for survey work
Contribute to HAZID, HAZOP, HAZCON studies, Auditing of the mechanical and Civils design function throughout the project lifecycles
Manage small design projects within time and budget constraints
Assist on all CAPEX projects with Value Engineering studies, Design TQ's, Lessons Learned Reviews
Provide Mechanical, Piping and Civils technical design support to all Project Managers within the CAPEX Programme
Produce 'reverse engineered' design packs and G17 documentation for any legacy project work found to be not fully compliant
Visit Sites and undertake surveys
Qualifications required (essential)
Ideally an Incorporated Engineer (D), with membership of IGEM or equivalent UK professional body
Working towards IEng within 24 months
Degree qualified in a related engineering discipline (D) or minimum HND or equivalent with several years evidence of post qualification CPD
Completed formal training in IGEM standards TD/1, TD/13, SR25, Materials Certification, and CAD Software, Pipe/Pipeline/Civils engineering/design tools
