This innovative media agency is on the lookout for a Data Strategy Lead to spearhead groundbreaking customer data initiatives for some of the UK's leading retail brands. This pivotal role blends strategy with activation, focusing on converting intricate data into effective, audience-first strategies that yield tangible business results.



Salary up to £80,000. Work 3 days per week in the London offices.



Your Responsibilities:

  • Steering and refining audience strategies using 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data.
  • Collaborating with specialized media and technology teams to align insights with activation efforts.
  • Engaging directly with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Data Management Platforms (DMPs), and ad/marketing tech solutions (familiarity with SQL is a plus).
  • Delivering impactful storytelling through data - extracting insights and crafting them into strategic recommendations.
  • Working closely with clients to foster audience innovation and revitalize customer engagement strategies.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in formulating and executing data strategies within a complex, multi-brand environment, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or loyalty domains.
  • A comprehensive understanding of customer data platforms (Adobe, Salesforce etc.), data management platforms (DMPs), marketing technology frameworks, and advanced analytics tools.
  • Capability to convert business objectives into clear and actionable data strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of audience segmentation methodologies, customer profiling, and data-driven marketing tactics.
  • Experience in crafting and implementing measurement frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to simplify complex data concepts for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven history of building relationships and fostering consensus across diverse teams.
  • Solid understanding of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) and ethical data practices.
  • A strategic mindset fueled by a passion for utilizing data to enhance customer engagement and promote business growth.
