Meraki Talent is seeking a talented Data Risk and Governance Analyst to join a leading global Investment Management firm. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a flat-structured team with broad exposure across the business.


In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the data risk and governance team to manage and mitigate data risks effectively. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the data risk framework to bolster Asset Management's capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data management framework that encompasses data ownership, sources, quality, usage, and records management.
  • Identify data risks proactively and refine data governance practices to align with data policy.
  • Take a hands-on approach to daily operations, ensuring effective management of data risks and governance.
  • Collaborate closely with Audit, Risk, Business teams, IT, and change programs to guide data roles in fulfilling their responsibilities and applying standardised approaches to data requirements.


Additional Responsibilities:


  • Applying data policies and standards consistently.
  • Conducting Data Risk Assessments.
  • Leading the Risk & Control Self-Assessment Process.
  • Facilitating Data Audits.


We are looking for candidates who possess:


  • A strong understanding of data governance and data risk controls.
  • Experience in drafting data governance standards, guidance, and processes.
  • A solid grasp and hands-on experience implementing data governance across diverse stakeholders, including data ownership and identification of approved data sources.
  • Proficiency in a data governance business-as-usual (BAU) environment.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively with operational teams, developers, architects, and subject matter experts.
  • Exceptional communication skills to convey data concepts and benefits to non-expert audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills and innovative thinking, capable of delivering results in a large matrix organisation.


The position offers a competitive salary of approximately £70k - £105k per annum, along with an excellent pension contribution, discretionary bonus, and a variety of additional benefits. You will be required to work 2-3 days in the office located in the City, with great opportunities for career progression.
