We are now actively recruiting for a Collection and Delivery Driver to provide a reliable, efficient and courteous collection and delivery service on behalf of the Metropolitan Police Service. In this role you'll be responsible for collecting & delivering a range of vehicles to police stations, Babcock workshops, external dealerships, and other locations across the London network, in line with the contracts KPI's.
This is a field based role with travel to regional sites covering the London area and boroughs.
Who we are looking for?
As a Collection & Delivery Driver, you'll be transporting all type vehicles utilised by the Metropolitan Police Service. Therefore, previous experience working in a driving role, a good knowledge of the London area and boroughs, as well being a positive, proactive, and flexible individual are all key attributes to securing this role.
What will you be doing?
Provide a prompt, professional and efficient vehicle collection and delivery service that delivers customer satisfaction in line with Company targets and standards
Ensure vehicles are collected and delivered on time, and presented to a standard acceptable to the customer
Respond to and deal with customer enquiries through provision of accurate and reliable information / advice
Drive customer vehicles in a careful and courteous manner with due regard to the Road Traffic Act and Company Procedures and immediately notify of any pending endorsements or prosecutions against your licence
Complete all paperwork and processes accurately and thoroughly in line with Company requirements
Carry out any other duties as and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy customer needs
The experience you'll bring
Full Clean Driving Licence (no more than 3 points) - Licence category minimum C1 3,500 - 7,500kg
No previous disqualifications from driving (DR, CD, DD, IN OR TT99 endorsements will not be accepted)
Previous driving experience in a similar role
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Ability to work unsupervised and able to achieve high standards
You must hold or have the ability to obtain NPPV 2 security clearance
