Class 2 Driver

£25,740 + £1600 annual bonus
Permanent, Full Time (45 hours a week)
Monday to Friday 07:30am - 5:30pm
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Class 2 Driver for our client who are a UK leading distributor. You will ensure on time delivers to the customer base of the business, building customer relations, and positively representing the business.
Responsibilities
Carry out daily vehicle and forklift checks prior to use and report any defects accordingly
Check load for safety and report any potential issues
Strap load using correct instructions and guidelines
Deliver products to customer base as per run sheet considering any timed drops
Maintaining high customer service
Ensure all goods paperwork is signed for and eligible by the customer. Make sure that discrepancies are clearly marked and reported back
Maintaining regular communication of any issues or delays which could affect service levels
Ensuring all transport related documentation is compliant with current legislation i.e., WTD/Taco Graph
Report any damage or discrepancies to the Operations Manager
Ensure any request is completed as per the despatch notes
Complete daily log sheet and return to Line Manager
Check goods received for damage or discrepancies and report to line manager
Compliance with all best practise and health & safety instructions
Assist with warehouse duties as and when required
Requirements
Required
Class 2 Driving Licence
Minimum of 12 months commercial driving experience
Customer service oriented
Good communication skills
Working knowledge of WTD
CPC
