CAPE Procurement Manager - High Growth FMCG Leader

Salary: Up to £70,000 Per annum + Car Allowance + Bonus + Pension + Private Medical + Hybrid Working + Holiday Purchase Scheme & More


Join a dynamic and forward-thinking consumer goods organization as they embark on a transformative capital projects program. We are looking for an innovative Procurement Manager to take on the strategic goal of all Capex procurement activities across multiple manufacturing sites in the UK.


This newly established role is a fantastic opportunity to not only shape and implement an effective sourcing strategy but also to oversee a diverse portfolio of complex, high-value projects including specialized equipment, civil works, and critical support services. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders at all levels, driving enhancements in procurement capabilities and contributing substantial commercial value to the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sourcing and procurement for capital projects: machinery, engineering services, and civil works.
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery across various UK sites.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the overall capital investment goals.


Process Improvement & Governance:

  • Support a broader transformation initiative aimed at improving procurement governance and efficiency.
  • Create tools, frameworks, and strategies that optimize spending.


Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Foster strong relationships with engineering, operations, finance, and senior leadership teams.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and influence key procurement decisions.


Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in capital procurement within FMCG, food, drink, or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Proven track record in sourcing equipment, civil works, and technical services.
  • Familiarity with MRO procurement is a plus.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and adept at navigating change.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple workstreams.
  • Aspiring towards a future leadership role in procurement.

  1. Stage 1: Functional & Technical Interview - A comprehensive assessment of your procurement capabilities, transformation experience, and capex delivery.
  2. Stage 2: Presentation Task, Culture Fit & Team Dynamics - Present to the leadership team, discussing your leadership style, collaboration mindset, and vision for the future.
