Assistant Estimator - Main Contractor

A main contractor at the cutting edge of refurbishment and fit-out are looking for a hard-working Assistant Estimator who is eager to grow with the company. Typical work is cut and carve refurbishment between £1-15m in Zones One and Two. Theirs is a diverse portfolio of work across a range of sectors, with a particular speciality in Grade I and II listed buildings. Clients include the Crown and Grosvenor Estate, as well as the British Museum.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting the preparation of tenders and take-offs
• Assisting in the estimation of project costs
• Collaborating with the project team to ensure accurate and competitive bids
• Supporting the estimating team in various tasks

Person Specification (preferred):

• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
